In this work of art Väinö Rouvinen has exeptionally used a two-plate technique. In the picture a wild and free pack of wolves is wondering in the wild surrounded by the fall colours and smelling the fresh scents of the autumn. The peaks of Mairivaara fells are seen in the horizon.
Väinö Rouvinen is a well known graphic artist and a versatile interpreter of the Finnish nature. His work can be found not only in Finland but around the world. Väinö Rouvinen has been rewarded with the Pro Finlandia medal of honour.
